ACTUALLY slinger--big ten folks do know what real football looks like. It is the oldest extant conference and has produced numerous champs. I'm sick of this denigrating of conferences just to perfect your confernces hopes.

Forget the fact that Penn State is probably more physical than LSU, has a better head coach, a creative offensive coordinator, and probably and this one can be argued, a better defensive coordinator.

Of course to some no conference compares to the SEC, even though this has been a down year for the conference in general as most teams are 7-5.

Les Miles you give him his credit he is undefeated in bowl games, yet we all know that streak will end one day.

Maybe if this were a regular season game, but this is the annual beat down. It takes Miles an entire football season to prepare for this game. I will be very surprised if PSU is within 10 by the half.

Same shite different year"oh there is no possible lsu can beat georgia tech" "Notre Dame matches up real well against lsu" "Ohio state can easily pull this upset"....yea we have seen how this happens lsu is going to pound the shite out of penn state like they do every year to a team outside of the sec. It will be so bad penn state fans we'll be begging fo it to end at halftime!

COOL, is this not like the 5th year in a row that we are supposed to get blown out by our Bowl Game opponents. We weren't supposed to stand a chance against Miami(blew them out), same for Notre Lame(blew them out), same for Ohio State(blew them out) and supposedly the Football Power of Georgia Tech was supposed to smash the tigers(of course LSU blew them off the field. So they can keep up the drivel, energize their fanbase, disrespect the tigers in the national media. But recent history shows the tigers may very well send another program season down in flames. :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:

When LSU was playing Miami it was "Flynn cannot throw against the Miami defense, they have the number 1 pass defense in the country. It's no match"

Then LSU was playing Notre Dame "Weis is a much better coach then Miles, the ND offense will put up lots of points and outscore LSU"

Then against Ohio State "Tressell is a much better coach then Miles. Ohio State has the number 1 defense, no way LSU wins"

Then against Georgia Tech "Johnson is a much better coach then Miles. LSU defense will fall apart trying to stop this option attack."

Same shite, different year

I guess you slept through LSU's last game where Trindon had over 200 APY. Every time you open your mouth, the collective IQ of the board goes down.

Yes Trindon had a great game, that is until the coaches made the brilliant decision to stop playing him.

LSU's offense is pretty bad this year. I say more like LSU over Penn State 28-17.

Penn St shouldn't even be mentioned in a sentence with LSU. The type of season we complain about ( ie. this year ) is the season they have almost every year - a mediocre 'good' record with no chance at a national title or one of the four big bowl games. What have they done this decade other than one season of being mentioned nationaly, which they choked on and spit out. As bad as we've been this year, there is no team in the Big 10(11) with enough athletes to play a game of marbles against us, much less football.

LSU's D, while not dominant on the whole, has played some excellent halves of football. I would love to see the Tigers play a whole game defensively and I have the feeling the bowl game could be the time to do it.

I don't know what to expect to from our offense, but the healing and practice time should be very helpful, especially considering our youthful backfield.

I am not going to hold my breath on seeing RS get some more touches, but I did like seeing TH get the ball against Arky (I just wish he was better at fielding punts!)
