I know there is a lot of OC change chatter but honestly if we don't improve our OL changing who calls plays will make little difference

what say ye?

The offensive and defensive lines have both declined over the past couple of years. I'd like to see a clean sweep on offense and a consideration on defensive line. Everything else is ok at skill positions and backfields.

Ok Brick. We'll hold out for one more year, but if you continue to fail to get more pressure on the quarterback with your 4 an 5 star players then

Strudwa needs to go now FWIW.

This. It is easy to criticize the two new starters on the o line this year, but after watching the replay of the LSU-Ark game, I thought the worst offensive lineman for LSU was Ciron Black. At least Dworaczyck and Hebert gave effort on every play. Black looked as if he was in slow motion and barely got a hand on his opponent many times.

I have to attribute Black's regression to coaching as he was one of the best left tackles in college football his first two years. Since then, his skills and passon have steadily declined.

I saw some improvement over the year...personally I just dont believe this Oline is really all that talented. We as fans have definitely been spoiled by our D and O lines over the past few years. That said, I still say we get a full remodeling job on offense coaching.

Here's a thought. I wonder if the way strudwa coaches blocking schemes doesn't exactly jive with how crowton want's to call the plays? Just thinking out loud. What do you guys think?

I agree completely. I have preached this all year to the Mowton haters. No o-line = no s.e.c.c.g.....ever....even if God is your OC...

Check out Petey Perot at Tech. He knows what he is doing and has been at it a long time.

I read somewhere else that he just hasn't been able to stay completely healthy & be that LT we saw his first couple of seasons.

Will be interesting to see how he performs at the combine & where he winds up in the draft.

Any time you have an O-Lineman consistently knocked on his back or pushed into the backfield, then you have the wrong lineman playing.T-Bob consistently gets dominated. You never see Lonergan get dominated when he is in the game. In the Tulane game, Lonergan pancaked his man 4 times in just the 4th quarter. T-Bob got pancaked twice. Definitely need to better evaluate the talent on O-Line.

No, we had 3 returning starters, all of whom looked demonstrably worse than they did last year.

I actually think that the run blocking was adequate, but that the passing game was where the lack of good coaching was glaringly obvious.

Not only were Dworaczyk and Black not on the same page, but Hitt and Barksdale were not on the same page either. Neither was anyone else. Neither were the same running backs we had who played last year. Neither was the quarterback who played last year.

Come on folks, there was a serious lack of coordination in the passing game amongst the O-line, RBs, and QB, and it was obvious. Crowton & Studrawa obviously have no idea what they are doing when trying to coach pass blocking together.

And I think Black and Hitt were both starters in 2007 if I'm not mistaken.

Our Offensive line is definitely a problem. I am not blaming the coach, scheme or the players but if you've got a 3 receiver route all deep, you have to give the QB more than 3 seconds.

What about Rick Trickett at Florida State? Now that Bowden has retired, maybe Fisher will go in a different direction and Trickett may be available.........
