My five year old wants a wii for Christmas. Besides the wii sports and wii fit what other good adult games are out there?

Get Zelda and Metroid Prime 3. Mad World too, but I wouldn't play that one around the offspring.

You can control the fade or draw using the position of your wrists during the swing. It's pretty realistic except you can't shank the ball like in real life.

If you mean adult as in not specifically aimed at children, any of the classic Nintendo franchises should be ok, Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Brothers, Metroid, Zelda etc.
If you mean adult as in shitloads of harsh swearing from the outset, get House of The Dead. It's really cool, shame it's a bit short and easy.

In all seriousness, the simpler the game the better it usually is on that system. Which means the best games for five year olds tend to work pretty well for adults too.
