Home teams in bowl games?

What determines who is the home team in Bowl Games?
If we do in fact play Penn St. then we run a very strong risk of having to pull out the purple for the bowl game.

Its alternated each year by conference.

I like purple much better than plain vanilla white anyway. Throw in those gold helmets we had on last night and we would be styling.

I don't mind the purple, but I don't like fricking with tradition.

just looked it up. UGA was the visiting team last year. the SEC team will be the home team in the Cap1 bowl.
