playing UF close for Arky. I am sorry, but all of you people using the Arky/UF game to justify how we barely won last night and claim you can't use transitive property, Arky has played poorly against more top teams than they've played well against in the SEC.
The UF game holds no water since its only ONE game.
ETA: I meant UGA scoring 52 not Auburn, thank you for the correction.
The point of this post was that you can't use the UF game as a measuring stick and ignore the other games for Arkansas.

I don't believe in comparing wins vs. common opponents like that, you never know what is going to happen week to week, players at this level are not that consistent like they are in the NFL....
that muffed punt by Trindon really hurt last night, we would have already been in scoring position but they flipped the field and then scored on the next possession after that. We could have been up with a more comfortable lead.

ultratiger89 why are you stating something rassional.Alot of people on here don't appreciate that type of arguement.

If I am understanding your post, you said being dominated by Auburn, Bama, and Ole Miss outweighs the close game against Florida. I will give you Bama and Ole Miss, but Arkansas beat Auburn(44-23) and totally dominated that game.

Honest question, don't resort to name calling.

Only 3 teams had winning records in SEC play. LSU was one of them, be happy.

quote:True enough. I compare to look at the trends, but especially in the SEC, it certainly isn't that conclusive.

He can't. It's against the ranter creed.

I am happy with the heart our team showed, and was impressed with our two minute drill to tie it in regulation.
This team is strong talent-wise, but needs development.
All my point here was that people saying "But Arky should've beat UF" when trying to compare games, when you can't.
It's that as others have stated the transitive property doesn't work.
I am proud of this team. I have concerns over the coaching, and while I don't like Miles and wish he'd leave, I am not for his firing. His contract is an albatross and he actually should get next year to redeem himself on the offensive coaching.

Fair enough.

quote:I'm on the bubble with that. One part of me agrees cause some games (rivalries) bring more emotion; however, if we can't AT LEAST use a good part of common opponents, how can we expect validity uncommon ones?
