Miles is in line for another 1 year extension after winning 8 games once again this year.

In your eyes, does he deserve it? Should he get it?

My take is NO! He shouldn't have gotten it last year with only 7 FBS wins and he shouldn't get it this year to send him a message that the quality of play on the field at LSU has to be better. The coaching has to be better, and the player development has to be better.

I don't want Les fired, because 1) its too expensive and 2) I am hoping he cleans house on the offensive side of the ball.

Imagine if JJ actually got real QB coaching for once in his college career and our OL actually got coaching. We could have a great team.

We are on the cusp of a 10 win season and Capital One Bowl championship so my answer is a hearty YES!!

No, but I guess he gets one anyway because doesnt his contract stipulate one with just 8 wins?

And my answer to you is "Have you seen the play on the field this season? Has our team looked well coached at all on the offensive side of the ball?"

Even if we get 10 wins, Les did not deserve it last season and this season he shouldn't get it for that sole reason.

otowntiger, the contract states that we use that as a barometer basically. It is up to the AD whether to give it to him or not.

Here is my point. LSU needs to protect itself then and NOT give him the extension or we will be in the same boat as this year. Owing him $15M if he blows it next year.

LSU fans need to be strong and demand the AD not give him the extension this year to send a message.

Everyone said the same last year about the defense, which was true, and Miles went out and got Chavis and fixed that this year. Let's wait and see if he fixes the offense next year.

LSU has a history of keeping shittier coaches.

LSU has never terminated a national championship coach.

Les' habit of rambling incoherently prevents him from stringing together any type of statement that would lead to his dismissal.

He didn't deserve an extension last year, despite hiring Chavis. That is an even bigger point. We should hold back his extension this year, purely on last year's undeserving attainment of it.

Talking about whether he actually deserves one this year is even worse.

We are number 12 in the nation in scoring defense this year. Last year we were 56th. That is a massive improvement.

Is he going to get fired? Likely not, because Skip Bertman is a dumbass and I wouldn't be surprised to see some camp money from Miles going his way somehow

NO in spades. You make a good point regarding JJ. His lack of development is not because the O-line is awful.
