Les and Charlie Mac

Why wouldn't LSU keep Les? We kept Chalie Mac for 20 years of mostly 7-4 records, couldn't beat Bama,losing bowl record and no NCs, but he is beloved. Les is doig much better than Charlie.

Because Charlie Mac wasn't making $4 million, and no one was contributing the type of money to any sort of TAF or paying tradition fund prices for tickets. There's way too much money for LSU to lose if the football team sucks.

because weve proven we can recruit top talent and win NCs, I dont care about winning one every year but we should be setting our sights on it every year and always striving for excellence

Better watch out, all the 50+ year old idgets will start coming out of the woodwork if you insult Charlie Mac, even though he was, in fact, a pretty mediocre coach.

Times have changed.
Universities are paying for Victory by buying big name coaches. Right or wrong in College Football it is what it is. (Just ask Bama)
Its a Coaching arms race (For the most part) If Les is not at LSU.....I hope LSU keeps up!

thats why I think if ND lays out the cheese then Bama will be looking for a new coach
