Could you be more narrow minded in your responses.
It has yet to be determined which SEC team will be there, so I said SEC as opposed to Florida or Bama, but one of them will be in the game.
Now, Texas, on the other hand, will have to get by Nebraska first. So, it may be a moot point to discuss the possiblity of the matchup from that perspective. But, the SEC WILL be there.
Texas has shown no ability to move the ball on good run defenses. I don't make this prediction based on what happened last night. I follow the entire season and watch what I can.
I don't think they match up well with either of the SEC teams that will be in the championship game. Both Florida and Bama have the team speed to slow down the short passing game, and both will stuff the run.
McCoy will be forced to run on passing downs, and I like the defense's chances when this happens. My reason for being so confident lies in the fact that Florida and Alabama's defenses are tested in crunch time, and will be hard to score on when it counts.

really? How many have they played? They really haven't done that well on the ground period this year. That doesn't mean they can't score. Have Florida or Bama played a QB as good as McCoy?

that is a reasonable assessment, saying they have no chance is not. This game will not be like USC-OU. Texas' D is legit and neither Bama or Florida have an offense any where near what USC did in 2004.

Texas has team speed, just as much as Bama for sure and comparable to Florida this notion that SEC speed is unstoppable has become comical, and blown way out of proportion after the UF-OSU game. The speed difference in that game was UF's DE vs OSU OL. Texas OL is not slow and un-athletic like OSU.
