redshirt getting pulled. I think this would be a horrible idea.

I think it would be a bad idea to do so. It's not like we are playing for anything. I understood pulling Travis Daniels shirt in '01 because it was for the SEC championship. I really wish we wouldn't have had to pull jefferson's last year.

LSU still needs to win the bowl game. After Ridley, the only guys left are Holliday and Shepard. The fullbacks are too big and slow to be counted on as every down backs if Ridley goes down. I don't think his red-shirt will get pulled unless they play him. As long as Ridley doesn't get hurt, his red-shirt should be safe.

Heard from a member on the staff that it is not going to happen..(Ford's Red Shirt being pulled). John Williams has been running with the #2 this week. Look for Sheppard and TH to get thier normal "plays" and J Williams to get 2-5 carries to releive Ridley

If they pull his redshirt they better make it count these last two games. Not a couple of carries and ride the pine.

Ford will NOT have his RS pulled. Miles cannott afford another major blunder.

This would not be that big of a blunder. The guy has never played a down and everyone is so worried about whether he'll be on the 2013 roster. Who cares?

We lost our 3 tops backs, shite happens. Some of yall just want to pile everything on Miles.

Todays paper says Ford is on emergency standby. Which, I assume, means if we run out of running backs he is available.

No one is dumping anything on Miles here. Just expressing what I think would be best for the team for the next 4 years. We have Ridley, Williams, Sheppard, and Holiday no need to burn a redshirt.

Sounds like an overreaction to a necessity. Ford has to be ready to get carries. If Ridley goes down, that RS is getting pulled. That's the way it has to be, and Ford needed the extra practice time and attention (that a RS normally wouldn't get) to be ready for it.

even if he busts one for a TD, he'll sit the bench the rest of the game.

Couldn't agree more. Can't have it both ways, we either have to win now or save for later. I say win now and let the chips fall where they will in 2013

We spend so much time in empty and one back why burn it if we don't have too. With Ridley, Shep, Tridon, and John Williams all available. As long as Ridley is healthy keep the redshirt going.

This is nothing to do with dumping on Miles anyway... i don't see where you are getting this.

Correct - Miles said in his presser after practice the other day that "emergency" means if multiple backs get injured to the point that they can not play.
