As SFP correctly stated in another thread, if Porter ever wants to be more than a RB coach(and don't give me that Assistant HC crap), then he needs to leave LSU.

After Malveto, LSU isn't promoting a position coach to coordinator anytime soon.

Porter needs to prove himself as a coordinator at a mid-major or lower level BCS school first.

Too late, and it's not "crap," and you know it. For better or worse, he does work w/Miles on the sidelines, throughout game weeks during the season, and is a vital member of LSU's staff 24-7-365.

And don't blow off Porter's Chief Recruiter position, either. Recruiting is kind of important to schools such as LSU, esp. in the SEC and at all colleges.

Can't figure why you and moneyg can't read or understand that we agree on why Porter's not qualified to be LSU's next OC (that suggestion came from someone else, btw). Scroll up and you can find it.

As far as being qualified to be LSU's next head coach, I said: Not now, but in the next 4-5 years. How hard is that to comprehend?

And I don't give a flying-frick what you and SFP "correctly" state in other threads, "if Porter ever wants to be more than a RB coach then he needs to leave LSU." Of course I agree w/that, as most others here would, but I can't match your arrogance and your absolute certainty about being "correct" years before something happens. I'm not debating this w/you, 'cos its very likely...

Once again, take another look at my post, below.
"I also don't think he has enough experience now to be an OC or head coach at LSU...He's too close to Miles for our fan-base, he needs to be an OC for a few years (though even as a head coach at a school like Memphis would make up for that)..."

You guys can now have this thread as well, so have it out among yourselves. Focusing on my posts, and with the race-card in (or not) in play, it's gonna be a real challenge, but I'm sure you'll figure it out someday. I'm just not going to be a part of it. Good ruck.
