With the receivers we have a good Offensive Coordinator would have lit Ole Miss up with all that blitzing with quick slants and screens. Hell, any type of misdirection play would have likely gotten big yards.

..and there's the rub!

Does JJ have more to learn at QB? Yes.

Does the O-line need to get better in pass protection? Yes.

Do the receivers need to make some of the catches they've dropped? Yes.

But, at the end of the day, it doesn't help ANYONE on the team to run slow-developing pass plays consisting of deep routes against an aggressive, blitzing defense...who, at some point, just decided to blitz on every play.

Playcalling has undermined this offense and underwhelmed the statisticians just as much (and more) than any one player's deficiencies.
