1. We were ouplayed the entire game. Ole Miss ran up and down the field, but we stiffened up in the red zone and mostly held them to field goals. Our TD in the first half came on a blocked FG, a luck play. Yes, it was luck. Luck that you even had a chance to block a kick, so luck x 2.

4. Ole Miss was sending the house, so we called a WR screen. Two Ole Miss guys had a chance to tackle Lafell for a loss, but he kept going to the 30. Three words: Field Goal Range.

THIS IS WHERE LSU LOST THE GAME.

5. With 1st and 10 and about one minute left in the game, we called a pass - MISTAKE #1. Jefferson held the ball too long, and barely threw it away. I can understand the call with not wanting to settle for a field goal, but the reminder is the way the QB handled the play. He does not understand that a sack takes you out of field goal range. Read as: OM defense stepped up and took care of business. Then, LSU threw up a Hailmary, and simply, wanted the ball more than we did. Nice catch.
