It was called piss poor management on so many levels it's unbelievable.
First you get the 1st down at the 31 with over 50 secs and 2 TO's. That's when the total ClusterFk started and it started with Crowton and ended with Miles.
Again, RUN THE F'N BALL. Your kicker has already made a 50 yder.
But, we don't. Instead we drop our QB back on a 7 step drop with sack prone QB that plays behind a sack prone OL. PURE GENIUS FROM THE WIZARD.
Then you get the sack and call a TO. The coach has to tell his team that if the play doesn't result in a 1st down and the player is tackled in the field of play, everyone call TO. We don't, C.Black misses a block and Ridley gets tackled. No TO for over 17 secs, UNBELIEVABLE unless you've seen Miles coach. Then you get the TO.
9 secs, so there is only 1 play, Hail Mary. Again as a coach you have to do 2 things. Get your ST ready in case what happens, happened. Tell your offense that if the ball isn't in the end zone and we catch it, run up to the ball and be ready to run a play. One or the other. We do none of it.
There was no contingency plan for Miles. He thought the ball would be thrown to the endzone. Problem was, as usual, JJ got hammered with pressure and couldn't fully get into the throw.
It was pure buffoonery for the last minute. Mark it down, because yesterday was the beginning of the end for Les Miles. The fans will not forgive this unless we're SEC West Champs next year, which I don't see happening. He's a nice guy and decent coach. So was Dinardo.
We won't buy him out, but if Alleva and LSU want NC's, then they need to send Les packing.
