A lot of people that are justifying it are solely discussing the fact that the KKK has its first amendment right. But, in this situation the first amendment has no say in the matter. The first amendment reads exactly
quote:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.


Congress cannot make a law restricting the ability to have free speech, and prevent people from peaceably assemble and petition the government. The school can do whatever the hell they want and would not impede the first amendment rights of the KKK
