I agree. I think our fans are overreacting.

We have mediocre QBs. Indeed, Jefferson was pretty bad at the beginning of the season and was downright awful v. Florida. He bounced back nicely v. Auburn, and played so-so against Tulane and the first half of Bama. And then he got hurt. And Jarrett Lee came in and showed he's made no progress from last year.

Now, it's fair to say that Crowton's job is to develop QBs. But some QBs take a little time. And some just never get it. I think the latter is the case with Lee. I am hopeful that Jefferson is now starting to "get it" so he can have a great junior year in 2010.

I think JJ's progress is due to his talent, not from coaching. Lee should be an excellent QB by now, but without the proper coaching he is falling behind at the next level. Its sad because he would have made a great QB at LSU had he been taught the things he needed to excell in CFB. Lets hope that JJ does not suffer the same fate.
