Obviously our team didn't bring its "A" game Saturday, nor did the fans. I was BIG TIME disappointed in the band though. They hardly played all game and at multiple times played the first down cheer and chinese bandits at the wrong time. Maybe it was just in the air Saturday that everything LSU was going to have an off day. I expected it from the fans and football team, but the band usually always brings it..What gave Saturday?

(I am in no way talking about the halftime show. That show has always been my favorite of all time. I'm talking about in the stands).

In stadium announcements and playing the cheers early because we didn't realize there were penalties.

I've never ever complained about the band before. Back in the Hallman days watching the band used to be the highlight of LSU games for me. I was just making a observation that stuff just seemed to be off Saturday. Didn't play nearly as much and I've never heard the band play at the wrong times...4 come to mind.

Poor coaching IMO. They were a 1/2 step behind in the second intro. The horns need to step up and show leadership. Percussion is not aligning right, and its contagious. We have the talent dammit!

dont listen to this idiot, he is mentally slow and has no friends. Unfortunately, sometimes the drum major either doesn't see a flag on the field or does not realize we are short for a first down etc. We have a limited time to play the down cheers, since we can not play while the ball is live, and sometimes the wrong one is played.

The halftime show was. Usually is. I was just pointing out the deadness of everyone Saturday, INCLUDING THE BAND!! I love the band..as I've said in an earlier post, that used to be my favorite part of the game before LSU actually started winning football games.

I'm sorry for breaking away from the fire Miles/Crowton, Boo J Lee threads. You can all now get back to your regularly scheduled rantardness.

Don't forget the drummer that we kicked out bc of his involvement in crime.

Anyone else notice that several times this year the band has played "Chinese Bandits" after a 3rd down stop only to have the team go for it on 4th down. We're gonna need a little more time in the film room breaking down which coaches like to gamble and which coaches play it safe.

i think it was just a little disappointing since it was homecoming and you'd think that everyone would be a little more excited. granted, it was la tech... but still.

i think the band did a great job, but just couldn't get the stands excited.
