If the ranking in team offense has become the sole measure of a college football program, then permit me to introduce you to the Idaho Vandals and the Nevada Wolfpack. They rack it up. I'm sure it's entertaining and enjoyable but I can't say I've ever dialed them up on a network on Saturday night or watched them with 90,000 other people.

By the time season is over LSU will have played a top 10-15 schedule, have a damn strong record, and a New Years bowl. How can you not enjoy that if you're an LSU fan?

Horrible, horrible analogy and an example of hyperbole to make a point. Those teams don't have top 5 talent, million dollar coaches, and NFL facilities. The point is that more often than not, LSU football should be BOTH entertaining, AND result in wins. It shouldn't be either entertaining and lots of losses, or not entertaining and lots of wins. That doesn't mean we are going to win every game, nor should we, but in the games that we do win there should be evidence of a solid, highly talented team that looks crisp and a coaching staff that appears prepared and involved in the game.
