Everyone in my office is taking one day a week to cook for a co-worker who has fallen on hard times. Tomorrow is my day and I have no idea what to cook. She claims that anything will work but I know that the food I typically cook is a little too out there for her and her family. Any ideas? Making for 4 ppl, and I don't feel like being expensive with the meal. Thanks.

i always make a pan of lasagna or a pot of spaghetti when i am cooking for another family. heck, buy a stouffers one if you dont have time to make it.
or cook a roast tonight with gravy and a side of veggies. either option will work great with being reheated and neither cost more than 20 bucks

Roast is a possibility. Lasagna is out because someone beat me to it last week.

I always make spaghetti when I cook for people at church...but I wouldn't recommend it this time since someone already made lasagna.
What about jambalaya?

Tacos are pretty cheep and easy. Usually nobody complains when they're being served!
