LSU is the home team. SEC rules say that the home team gets to choose what color they wear. The visiting team has to accept this choice (so long as it's an SEC game).
It's why LSU wore purple when playing at Mississippi State - they chose to wear white.

How people don't know this by now absolutely boggles my mind. I know the rule has change a couple times in the past 2 decades but it gets brought up, disputed, and corrected every 3 hours on this site.
