Hit of the game: LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson wasn't quite the same after the play he got drilled when senior cornerback Javier Arenas got to him followed by senior end Brandon Deaderick. By the end of the drive he was on the sideline after spraining an ankle on freshman linebacker Nico Johnson's sack and the Tigers were already out of time outs. Jefferson's ankle couldn't have been too bad because when LSU scored a touchdown on its next possession he was one of the first players to run down to the end zone to celebrate.

This is a clip from an article from a Bama site. IT really perturbs me for a variety of reasons, namely how much class it lacks to write shite like this. On top of that, he's confusing the facts of the game because I'm 90% sure the hit from Deadrick was in the first half and he groups it on the same series where Jefferson got knocked out.

That said, for those in attendance, was JJ jumping up and down on the sidelines when we scored?

I wasn't looking at him when LSU scored, but I was behind the LSU sideline, and like I said in another thread, I watched him walking around and talking with coaches, looked to see if he was injured, and came to the (mistaken) conclusion that he was not.

Now, given what I learned afterward, I'm sure there was some kind of ankle injury, but it was not at all noticeable by the way he was walking around on the sidelines. If he was favoring one leg over the other, it sure wasn't easy to tell by looking at him.

Makes no sense to me.

I'm not going to denigrate the guy... but I damn sure hope it was an issue with him not being able to plant to throw, because there's no other good way to look at this...

that he came back after the spear should tell any rational person all they need to know about Jordans toughness. if he didnt play, its because he couldn't.

He was on crutches today and didn't run out to congrat. Ridley. He walked out. For all we know he could have lacked lateral movement in the ankle.

No, they pulled him because he was sucking it up and it was JL's time to shine. WTF is this? Bama can say what they want. The media can too. Our team doesn't play for THEM.

personally i thought it seemed out of character because early in the year he took some nasty licks on running plays and popped right back up...

I am aware of how violent the spear was. In fact, I think that was a worse missed call than the INT simply because the INT was at least questionable in some regard (though very weakly).
