Thats where the prep and cooking come into play...to make that bland, boring bird into a feast...Just can't go aginst tradition.

Sure you can. Seriously, after last Thanksgiving, I actually started to question it and realized I really didn't care for turkey, I mean, it's not bad, but it wouldn't be in my top fifty things to eat. I asked my wife about it, and my sister (we generally get together with her family and we all cook) and she felt the same, so that was that. I hear you on the tradition, but there were lots of things eaten at that first Thanksgiving, including ducks and geese, which frankly I'd prefer to eat, so I think we'll go in that direction.
