Dear Bama: The Joke Is On You.

Good Morning Gumps. Good to see many of you here justifying your big win yesterday. I have to admit, as a fan, I could hardly see this coming. I mean, it's not like the media, along with the SEC office, have been telling SEC fans for the past several weeks it would be Bama vs UF in the SECCG. Good luck in that game, BTW. But before you play, here is an observation.
Taking my purple and gold glasses off, I am going to give you an very down-to-earth assesment you will not like.
LSU was/is the best team on your schedule this year, until the magical matchup with UF that Slive set up. LSU, the team I love and adore with all my being, is NOT THAT good of a team. In fact, aside from our team last year, I'd say our 2009 team is the second weakest team this decade. Yes, I believe this to be so. This LSU team was fortunate to be 7-1 going into the game yesterday.
Yet, despite this, you struggled to beat us...AT HOME.
LSU played the majority of the game without our starting QB (remember, this was a guy that didn't throw four picks like the one last year....and remember how you struggled to beat our worst team in years last year), we lost our top RB, our TE didn't see the field, and our top defensive player sat out a ton of plays. You really think Julio Jones goes 78 yards on a screen pass with #7 in the game? Of course he doesn't. You know it, I know it, and Julio knew it. But hey, keep feeling good about it.
And yet, despite all of the scenarios above, YOU were trailing going into the fourth quarter AT HOME against a weakened LSU team. Damn. That's not good.
Do you realize that LSU ran up the middle on you guys yesterday on several occasions? We couldn't do that successfully against the likes of ULL, Tulane, and Vanderbilt, yet we did it against you. Remember the play Scott broke his collarbone on? We tried and failed with that play just last week against Tulane.
Know how many times LSU has run a successful option play this year? Try maybe once out of 25+ times. Yet, yesterday, we ran the option five times, and you guys stopped it for less than three yards ONCE. PS - last week, we ran an option against Tulane and they stuffed it. ULL did the same.
You guys are in trouble. You really are. Hell, T-Bob Hebert was blocking Mount Cody yesterday. Last week against Tulane, T-Bob got pancaked five+ times giving up a couple of sacks. That didn't happen yesterday.
Yup, the jokes on you. You had an injury-riddled LSU squad in a situation where they had a chance to take a lead with less than six minutes to go in the game. But once again, you were saved. What a shock. I can hardly believe that those types of calls would happen in your stadium. Shocked I tell you. Shocked. Shocked that the same officiating crew that called our 2007 matchup in Tuscaloosa where there was a 15-2 penalty discrepancy that day would give you guys the benefit of doubt.
But hey, good luck against Florida, and then good luck against whatever WAC or MWC team you play against in the Sugar Bowl. Slive won't have one of his crews to help you in the Sugar Bowl. Please don't embarass our corrupt conference by losing to a BCS Buster again.
Thanks in advance, and congrats on a solid "win".

Stopped reading here, yes it was a horrible call but Alabama still wins this game.

And I was not saying we would have won.
My point is, you needed help to beat a team that you should have beaten by more than 10. You couldn't do it.
You are in trouble, and you know it. You won't beat UF, and you will lose in the Sugar Bowl again against either TCU or Boise State.
Book it.

Not comparing us to 2003 LSU but didn't you lose to Florida "AT HOME"? Not only that, in 2007 didn't you lose to Arkansas "AT HOME"?

And you shouldn't. We won a crystal football in 2003. You won't be winning one this year. So yes, your analogy sucks.

EZE Tiger Fan.....can you say Go Bearcats?!?!.....Bama will have a date with 'em down in the Dome, because they certainly won't be going west.

What a sad lsu loser you are. Get used to losing against Alabama for years to come.

FYI taking the time to type this whole thread indicates that you are a little butthurt. Is this true?

Hmm, but wasnt this LSU team soooooo much better than the one florida had to deal with?
or is that different now since it doesnt support your argument?

I also sense that you are deeply upset.

Haha this is awsome, LSU sucks this year so their only hope now is to root against Bama. I like it! Sorry about your team.

Too bad Tebow isn't a great passer. Bama's secondary isn't that great. You guys could expose them in so many ways, but if LSU ran between the tackles on them, so will Tebow.
I will be rooting for you guys in December.
UF 24
Bama 10
UF was the best team we played. No doubt.
We play UF 20 times, that 13-3 showing LSU had would have been the best showing in that 20 game stretch.
A HEALTHY LSU team with a non biased officiated crew splits a 20 game series with Bama. Easily.
Bama fans know this deep down.

Cincy will play whoever comes out of the ACC in the Orange Bowl, most likely.
Bama will be playing TCU or Boise.

Just curious, how does it feel to know that your season was a complete failure and now all you have to hope for is Bama losing? Must suck, huh?

Tebow throws a grat deep ball.
Posted on 11/8/09 at 7:40 am to gatorprincess815
Tebow has a good deep ball but his delivery is really slow. He will HAVE to fix this in the NFL.
