It immediately shuts them up because they know you're not a sucker like probably 90% of people that actually shop at gamestop.

This thread actually reminds me of a story. Couple years ago I went to gamestop... FEAR had been out for a few years already, and FEAR: Gold Edition was being sold which included the original FEAR and the expansion pack "Extraction Point". I get to the counter with my copy of Gold, and the dude at the counter said be right back, and he comes back with a copy of Extraction Point by itself, and he was telling me I should buy it to "improve my FEAR experience". I told him no, Gold has extraction point in it, and he kept telling me that Gold was just a game of the year edition and it didn't have extraction point in it. I got pretty pissed off at him, and I never go to gamestop unless a game has been out for awhile, and I want it immediately.
That's lying to me. I do my research when I buy things, it's their job to try and sell you stuff I guess, but it's also their job to be informed about shite that their selling.
Like when I go to radio shack, and ask where the power strips are and the lady takes me there and then tries to talk me into buying a 100 dollar power strip, give me a fricking break. I didn't ask for a recommendation, I just want to know where the frick they are.

I mostly go to Gamestop to see what games I can get for $10 or $15....sometimes you'll find a pretty good deal....you can also find some cool games that you won't find anywhere else. You just have to ignore the guy who works there. I also like trading in games I never play anymore for a new game. Their used prices are a joke though, you save a whole $5 for a used game. A 59.99 new game is 54.99 used....wow, what a bargain!

i usually try to go to gameware if im looking for used or off the wall shite. privatly owned company with a buch of employees who stay out of your shite unless you ask something.

The only thing I dislike is going to pick up a game at midnight. I've only done it twice and it exposes me to some truly hopeless individuals. I showed up a little early because I thought they'd maybe give it out early last time. Huge mistake.
