Sportstalk Radio Show in Shreveport...

Don't know if this is the proper forum, but I was wondering if anyone knows what happened to JJ and Ben Marshall's Sportstalk show that has been on Shreveport's Keel radio at 5 PM for years. I spoke to the program director just now and all she would say is "we no longer carry their show and that's all I can say".
Even though they weren't LSU fans, I always picked up info that I didnt know.
Does anyone know what's going on and if they are on another station? Thanks in advance!

They are still on the radio. The are on from 5-7 on 710 everyday. They definitely don't like talking about LSU but they do it b/c they have too. They are both Notre Dame hacks. Ben went there and I'm pretty sure got his Law Degree from there too.

I dont care if they are still on or not. It really is a shame that this is the best talk show Shreveport has. Those two guys are turrible - not only their opinions or topics they choose but simply the way they talk. Ben irritates me down to the core.
But - what do you expect when shreveport doesnt even have a station that broadcasts espn radio. Even marshall texas has an espn am affiliate.
The best talk radio is north la is 97.7 out of Monroe.
ETA- They (JJ and Ben) have mention TD on their show before though.

You guys are idiots. AM 1340 is the ESPN affiliate in Shreveport. There is ESPN programming all afternoon and at night. I really enjoy listening to JJ and Ben. They hit on other topics besides sports and besides local and in-state sports.

No they are NOT still on...they have been removed from KEEL's website and I personally spoke to the station's program manager this AM...she said they are no longer on KEEL, but wouldn't comment further.
Although they often pissed me off about LSU, they could be funny at times, plus I liked to hear their critiques of non-LSU related topics. Please tell me that we're not reduced to listen to Tim Fletcher if we want to hear local sports programming in Shreveport. He is an ABSOLUTE joke, and not in a funny way.

I was speaking in terms of not knowing they are on the air and the ESPN affiliate. I could care less if they like the show.

I'm not sure when this happened...I last listened on Wednesday of last week...I was out of town after that until yesterday...tried to listen then, but a political show was on.
We need local sports programming in Shreveport. I liked hearing about high school sports and our regional smaller college teams, in additional to LSU and major league sports. I CANNOT TOLERATE TIM FLETCHER!!! Someone please help!

Tim Fletcher is terrible, he is like a bad ESPN audition, Ben is obnoxious. JJ is the better of the three.

Agreed, Buck...I thought Ben was better (funnier, although he could be condescending) when JJ was there, than when he was by himself. At any rate, their show helped me keep current on a lot of sports-related happenings, regardless of the opinions they expressed. It was easy to tune in and catch up on things while driving home or running errands after work.
I hope another local station picks up their show...I've been listening for probably 10 years and it was part of my daily routine. I'll miss it.

This all happened pretty fast so don't know if that could happen or not. They have been doing their show for along time so you would think someone would be intrested.

Whatever happens, Shreveport has virtually no local sports talk. Where I am from in Bama they had a station devoted to local sports talk all day. All they talked about were the Titans, the Braves and BAMABAMABAMA.
I've lived in Shreveport since 04 and these guys were the best we had. Fletcher is good on a Monday morning and that is about it.
Shreveport does need some sports talk. I have always thought I would be great at that shite except I don't have a voice for radio. I'd still gladly do it and I bet people would listen.
