anyone ever watch this guy and think he is going to tear it up in the NFL, if he gets in the right situation? I know that is a big if, but I'm betting he really helps himself out at the combine.

Wow...I just read this same exact thing in another thread

Most likely he will be solid in the NFL.

I dont know what you have seen to make you think that, seriously. Aside from looking the part, what have you seen.

He really doesn't fit into what our offense does IMO. I've always thought he was a outstanding back that just somehow didn't fit in. Charles Scott has always fit what we were trying to do much better, until this year. and to answer that .........
my favorite run of his

Really? Let's have this discussion in a couple of years. You still blindly support everything LM does and we will live here in reality.

I've always rooted for Scott, pretty much because of that reason. lol.

He is hesitant. When is the last time you saw him initiate contact, I really cant remember seeing him do it, sometimes a back has just gotta lower his shoulder.
Lets not even talk about pass protection, a specialty back in the NFL most assuredly needs to be able to protect the QB and be a hell of a receiver.
I dont know why he would be expected to blow up the NFL.

half the time, you don't even know what Crowton is running, so how can you say he doesn't fit in our offense? Is it a power formation, spread, pistol formation, option with a split end, you frickin tell me?
dude will make it in the NFL because he has talent, plain and simple.

Do you think Scott will be a better tailback in the NFL?
Posted on 11/1/09 at 8:28 pm to Palm Beach Tiger
I don't see it. He has no lateral movement and he's not strong enough to be a straight ahead runner. He catches the ball well and pass blocks well but his overall running ability is not great. I will say that I think he's improved over last year. He hasn't had the touches this year because the coaches trust CS to get the tough yards. He'll be a late round pic but that's only if he runs a 4.4.

WTF?? I have been more critical of LM than most. So I dont know where this comes from. I know this though:
Average receiver out of the backfield.
Vision is limited....when is the last time you saw him bounce INSIDE.
Awful in pass protection.
Not physical at all.
Not as fast as he was when he arrived on campus. So I dont know what measureables are going to look like.

I always wonder why Keiland isn't the pitch guy on every option? It seems to usually be someone else, when Keiland is the perfect guy for that. If JJ could ever force the defender to come after him instead of defending both of them anyway. I'd like to see Keiland used like Kevin Faulk was a lot more, I guess he could have hands like bricks or something? dunno?

Dont expect to see him drafted then.

Keiland will def. run under a 4.5 I'd be shocked if he didn't.

Yes, that is not to say I think that CS will light it up, but I do think he has the potential to play every down.

He pass blocks much better than CS. That's not saying much though.
