Lets see. Do you really think a company is going to sit on a game for years while it is in QA when they can have it on the shelves? With consoles these days being hooked up to the internet for updates, they can get them out even faster and then when we (the real testers) find an issue they can supply a patch.

I guess it does suck for those that aren't hooked up to their console's interweb networks because they don't get the updates. I'm all for patches and support. It's a beautiful thing.
