With our OL's inability to open up and sustain holes, we need a guy that can find and hit creases. He can do that. Of course we will need to pound it with Chuck, but it hasn't worked well so far. I say we ditch the wild cat and use him exclusively at RB and WR a la McCluster at Ole Miss. He might have runs where he will be stuffed, but he'll eventually have a hole to hit for a big gain like last night. He was averaging 1 yd a carry before that run and after it, he was averaging close to 8 for the game. Our running game needs that big play ability.

Don't have to use him like Scott. Gun runs! McCluster is only 170 pounds.

The only problem I can think of is if we want him as a RB in the shotgun, he can't really be used as a decoy unless we send him to the flats becuase he probably isn't ready to pass protect.

I agree to an extent. I actually think while a hair slower than Trindon, he more than makes up for it with his agility and change of direction.

No doubt Keiland and Scott are better typical RB's, but with our OL those kinds of backs can't get it done. We need a game breaking running back. Think Rainey or Demps at UF.

Then you don't understand quickness, son. TH is not only fast, he's quick. Do you think he has the physique to overcome a slow start? Not even close. I've personally seen him run track at the college level. Your opinion is folly.

I would not say that he is our best back but he is a great change in pace back that gives us break away speed outside the tackles

i think keiland and scott do fine in the right situation... ie scott lining up in the I, not running the effin zone read, and keiland running the option or zone read

naw

he's only fast

that's why unless he has a straight lane, he never does anything in the open field

and this establishes his speed only

You can still do those things, but don't rely on that for most of your running game. We need to split the responsibilty in the running game. Scott for short yardage grind it out and Shep for spread runs medium to long yardage.

trindon gets used in too many predictable ways meaning everytime he comes in you know its prolly an option, the lined him up in the backfield and let him run in between the tackles he got 5 they lined him up at reciever and he made a big play, stop with the gimmicks and just play football
