Say we finish 10-2, and win the bowl game to boot. 11-2 and a top 5 finish. Do you think that changes the opinion of anybody that currently doesn't think he's the right man for the job? If not, why?

No probably not. But those who never thought he was the right guy for the job will be far less vocal, so it will seem as if opinion's were changed.

The problem the fans have now is how bad this offense is. They attribute that to Les, GC, and JJ. The good news for JJ, is that when the offense is this bad, the QB normally gets all the blame.

Les is plagued with an inability to interview well. This hurts him. A friend of mine was asked by a Bama fan about to board charter flight, why Tiger Fans did not like Les. He responed we like Les just fine. We are just not sure he can coach. The bama guy responded we have the exact opposite problem. We know Saban can coach, we're just not sure we like him.

This is a big part of Les problem. The job seems to big for him. Whether its sprinting up and down the sidelines trying to call a time out on a change of possession, trying to locate his wife in the stands, or the weekly radio debacle, Les continues to hurt himself in the eyes of the fans.

That said, he does a lot of stupid things while coaching that leaves people scratching their heads. But to my knowlege, he's never lost to ULM.

this is the stupidest shite I've ever read...man, you are seriously fricked in the head. do you really think the job is too big for Miles? he's half of the equation that made LSU an elite power. Saban started it with facilities, recruiting and a natcham...Miles improved it with recruiting, calm, strength and a natcham all the time dealing with the Katrina-Rita disasters, the population loss (ie, athletes moving out of state), the Michigan job speculation and the resurgence of Bama under Saban. He is now faced with an SEC West loaded with fine coaches and a dwindling recruiting base which has made his job harder than anything Saban faced. Both men were and have been spectacularly successful at and for LSU...to imply that one is not big enough for the job is rampant stupidity.

Here's an example of what hurts Miles field cred... taken from an article earlier this week...

quote:

"I think there's some things that we can do better in communication," Miles said. "Maybe we need to go to the line of scrimmage with the right play. Then all (Jefferson) has to do is execute it."

He figured this out all on his own did he????

Oh???

And what leads you to that opinion?

His national title he won a little over a year ago when his team went 5-0 against teams who finished in the top 15?

His perfect 4-0 bowl record with wins over #9 Miami, #11 ND, #1 Ohio St, and #14 Ga Tech?

Or his 47-12 overall record at LSU which is the best winning percentage, for a coach here over a couple years, EVER at LSU?
