It'll be Cleveland or Boston. If Lebron goes beast-mode in the playoffs again he should have enough help this time with the additions of Shaq, Parker, and Moon. Stern on Lebron from an interview that will air on Tuesday:

quote:

He may be the best player ever to have played. Michael might dispute that, but he has a lot of canvas yet on which to paint. I have no doubt the picture is going to be beautiful.

You know, he hasn’t won anything yet but he may be the best player ever to descend to this planet. It’s a delight to watch him; it’s a delight to watch him grow, to see his width and breadth, in terms of his interest and capacities. He’s a great kid and a great player.

Orlando beat Cleveland due to the matchup problems they created for the Cavs. Cleveland didn't have any large perimeter players other than Lebron to guard the 6'10 guys jacking up threes. They now have Parker and Moon. They also didn't have a big body to stay with Howard down low, which is where Shaq comes into play. Orlando also sacrificed their unconventional lineup, which is part of what gave so many teams fits, when they got rid of Hedo. They'll look much more like a typical team now.

Cleve vs. Spurs.

I think so too, PJ. Spurs got a lot better in the offseason. I think the Cavs did too, but we'll have to see how so many new faces gel together. I think the Celtics are too old to hold up for another season, and Orlando was a better team with Hedo than they will be with Vince Carter. We'll see how the Lakers do with the addition of Artest, but I think the Spurs will be better top to bottom.
