Right now the MLB is basically just a rat race btw the red sox and the yanks. A race to see who can find the best young talent and buy the rest. This year the yanks did a better job. THIS YEAR!

Respectfully, I disagree. I think Swisher has been huge for this team and it doesnt have much to do with on field performance. Yes, I know CC and Tex are the big difference but I think Swish and AJ have loosened this club up and make it more fun

man, ok, keep swisher, get rid of melky cabrera

go sign holliday. bring up austin jackson, and keep brett gardner

but the yankees have the best infield in baseball history imo, and with holliday smacking doubles left and right too, that team is almost unbeatable

i know that

My point is you are missing what makes Red Sox fans who they are, and why things like the Green Monster are so important to us. It's an icon for all of baseball. What baseball fan doesn't know what the Green Monster is? We are not the reason Fenway hasn't been torn down yet. It's the home of the Red Sox. And you can't compare it to the old Alex Box... it's far from trash. It's well kept, and it's important to Red Sox Nation. Each organization has its "thing" and focusing on one to make an argument without understanding the other is just ignorance.

and i respectfully agree with all that you said

but when red sox fans bash the yankees for being a machine of a business operation it really bugs me bc the red sox are the yankees with an old stadium and tradition. the EXACT same. and old yankee stadium has just as much tradition as fenway does minus the quirky field design

as long as we can agree on that we are cool

Just keep in mind, the Sox may be the same but they still keep their tradition. Sets them apart.

But I'm with ya.

Hart is trade bait, and I'm glad the Cameron to the Yanks for Melky didn't materialize.

Gamel will have to have some therepy done for the way the mgmt toyed with his AB's this year. The offense pretty much lives or dies on Braun and Prince's bats. There's no arms on the market this winter...I honeslty would feel better in your shoes at the moment

yeah. if the braves can resign hudson, i would almost be ALL ABOUT a gamel for pitcher swap between our two teams

the braves will be players next season if all the offseason moves take place

if the braves can move lowe for something serviceable, i love their chances next year

I don't think they'll look to trade Gamel after giving up LaPorta last year. Given McGhee's play at 3rd, maybe they'll toy with Gamel in right making Hart expendable.

After suffering through Parra, McClung, Suppan and the list goes on, at one point during the year I was ready to ship Gamel for Vazquez.

i was too when i thought the braves were done and his value was as high as it gets

i would shite if the braves could move lowe, and then have a rotation of javy, jair, hanson, hudson, kawakami

this is one of the best sports threads ive ever talked about, and its on the OT. haha

at least we learned that this yaz girl is allowed to talk on the msb. we can give her the password

lowe was hot garbage for the second half of the season

add to that his ridiculous contract and he needs to get out as soon as possible. the braves can add a bat for him and they are nl east contenders
