high schools do it because a coach doesn't want a 16 year old kid making checks at the line to get you into the right play. Most college QBs should be able to to get you in and out of plays at the line based on what he sees. I don't think this is Crowton's preferred way of doing things but I don't think he has a choice because JJ doesn't appear ready to do it himself.
