Not bad but a little predictable.

More of a horror comedy in the similar vein of Evil Dead II.

It was very good for a horror film these days. Kind of takes me back to the days when horror films didn't try to take themselves seriously at all.

entertaining for sure, too many "jump out" scares for my taste. I HATE that shite, but it was still solid

I saw the ending coming from about 100 miles away.

When apple guy put the coin into an envelope I thought that was a but odd. So when she put the button in the envelope, I knew the old switcheroo was going to happen.

I don't recall the coin scene, but as soon as her envelope hit the floorboard, I new she was a goner. Plus, the way the ending unfolded was to nice and neat for Raimi's style. It just didn't feel right for everything to be back to normal or better.

It was too damn obvious when she couldn't find the envelope that it was going to come back to bite her on the arse which made me think about the coin.

I wasn't even remotely close to being born whenever the first Evil Dead was released, so needless to say I wasn't familiar with it until immediately before watching DMTH.

I'm currently attending a film school so I was told to watch the Evil Dead trilogy before watching DMTH.

Anyway, I actually LOVED the movie. I thought it was by far the best "horror" film of my generation at least. The entire movie doesn't take itself seriously, yet it had a pretty intriguing story and a great plot to go along with it, yet it was somewhat of a spoof. You don't see that at all these days.

I'm eager to see a more modern day follow up to Army of Darkness as Raimi has already confirmed that it's "in the works".

I thought the ending was pretty obvious at first, but I started to second guess myself at one point. I was like waiting for it and I kind of began to get confused. Then it suddenly ended like I thought it would.

Everyone thinks the ending was obvious, but I don't think Raimi was trying too hard to make it a mystery. The audience was supposed to be aware of the mistake they were about to make. Suspense. Otherwise it would have just been cheap.

No mystery here... after all, she was going to to be dragged into hell at some point. The title told us that.
