My take is that the team will get back to their bread and butter, which is running the damn ball and mixing in some play-action. Crowton is a very intelligent OC, but I think only in moderation. We have always been a power football team with a touch of flare. That flare has to come at the right time or it's not effective. You also have to have an experienced QB to do it. We've been trying to show too much flare with a guy who just can't do it. It's time for the bread and butter.

Note: I didn't say vanilla. I said bread and butter.

How is that? We've been "trying to get that fixed" for awhile now.

Regardless, I think the offense will get back to the basics and simplify it for JJ. That means running the ball with play-action off of that. It's up to the team to man-up and make it work, because that is what is going to happen...book it.

I thought the playbook was already simplified? They do not run anything special, unless you consider the option special....
The poor kid just looks frozen out there, sometimes he looks like he is freshman starting for the varsity in highschool... Anymore simple and the defensive coord. will not have to gameplan at all.

So then we should make the offensive gameplan even more confusing for him?
