I've never really liked this guy, I feel like he has no emotion, and if he happens to be calling a Saints game, I make sure to turn his arse off and turn on Jim Henderson, although I usually do no matter who is calling the game.

I was watching that clip of where he gets burned on his own show by Artie Lange, which never gets old, and came across the clip of Joe calling the David Tyree catch in the superbowl. GOOD GOD. One of the greatest plays in the history of American Sports and he totally fricks it up. No emotion, no nothing.

david tyree catch

I guess I wasn't paying attention to Joe during the superbowl, but damn, this is my first time really listening to him call the play.

Can anyone else not stand this overrated PoS?

If you're trying to say I'm a couple years too late... this thread is about Joe Buck in general, not the superbowl.

Yeah cause the Giants played the Pats last week in Denver with the Broncos on the sideline ready to tap in and the Raiders there as waterboys.

We've got Tom Brennaman and Troy Aikman this Sunday. Joe Buck will be in New York for the ALCS. But this is his crew. So if the baseball playoffs weren't right now, we'd have him.

Not really nit picking. He doesn't screw up, and you could say he is good at what he does from that perspective, but he brings no excitement to stuff he calls.

Thats my point, compared to what the Saints usually get to call their games he is a dramatic improvement. He's not a fan like Henderson (who I love), but a solid pro. I like him, but agree not everyone does. I don't think the announcers make a game exciting, but can certainly take away from it with onsided bias, they have done this with the Cowboys but more on Troy than Joe.

If Joe Buck leaned over and started making out with Aikman on air, would anybody be that surprised?

i thought the exact same thing. while they are not suppose to show favorism.. he really did a piss poor job on one of the biggest plays in super bowl history.
