JJ getting sacked is as much on him as it is the O-line. He normally looks for his first read and if the target doesn't come open, he takes off running OR holds the ball just waiting. There are PLENTY of times where he should have just thrown the ball away but instead he ate the sack. Yes, there are times that the O-line does not protect well or at all and he is sacked.
JL stared down WR's and threw into tight coverage routinely LAST YEAR. I think that the kid has a good arm and could offer a better ability to stretch the field vertically. He probably knows more of the playbook than JJ because last year his only problem was forcing throws, not play selection.
RS probably doesn't know enough of the playbook to be brought in for more than the occasional QB run or read option play. Still, it would be a nice change of pace if used correctly.
IMHO I think that JJ should be the starter but that we should use JL for at least one series per quarter. If one proves to be having a hot hand, then we stick with him. RS should get a snap here and there sprinkled throughout the game. It gets our 3 main QB's experience while at the same time forcing defenses to prepare for the different abilities that all 3 bring.
I think that our coaching staff chose JJ because he is best at not turning the ball over, which is HUGE! But he leaves a lot to be desired in his ability to consistently move this offense with his arm. Each has the ability to offer something different and while we don't have a complete product in one package, together all 3 could prove to be just what this offense needs.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Icongeauxtigers.png)
