It's not the O-line people!

If anyone DVR'ed the game like I did, take a stopwatch and time JJ on how long he takes to pass the ball. It's in the 5 to 7 second range consistently. It's not reasonable to expect the OL to block for THAT long. If you have the chance, time any other team that is successful throwing the ball right now (TT, Texas, OU, Houston,etc.) what is plainly evident is the shotgun snap, 2 to 3 second read-pass gone. So either our WR are running routes that are entirely too long or JJ can't make the reads fast enough. Is this coaching, talent or something else? I don't know, but although our OL hasn't been super I don't think they deserve a majority of the blame.

So the offensive line not being able to get a yard on multiple occassions is not the problem. The offensive linemen being pushed into the backfield on running plays is not a problem.

JJ couldn't get ONE play off in the final minute and a half of the third quarter.
He's gonna need the offense to protect him for at least 45 seconds before finding the absolutely perfect opportunity to throw the ball.
If it's not there, no worries- he'll simply take a sack and repeat the same decision making process.

First, you need to get a new watch, and second, when Jefferson is moving around to avoid pass rushers, that does NOT count as pass protection. Once again, the media, coaches, players, etc say it was poor OL play. That is what I saw despite not having a chance to watch little Mickey's hands move on a watch.

Come on dude, if we are playing pee wee football and the qb gets sacked 5 or 6 times, you take the kid out.
It ain't rocket science. I don't care whose fault it is, try something, anything different. Mix it up. Roll the qb out, quick strike passes.

It's the OL when they get blown up by a three-man rush. It's Ciron Black getting destroyed every play and ending up on the ground.

You have to laugh at some of these people. When he makes a comment like I can't help but think WOW!! I think there are really people on here that would time the seconds the QB has in the pocket and that shite cracks me up. If Alabama loses and I find myself timing our QB protection on a game rerun I think I need to check myself into a psych ward somewhere.

all of the above. Crowton's plans are not working and the OL can't get the job done (none of them)and with all that looking towards the sidelines, JJ can't get the play off with being in a total "oh shite" mode.

i agree it does seem to take him forever to throw the ball. it seems we don't have an outlet receiver to check down.

we cannot run the ball AT ALL. how is that NOT the oline? scott is still scott, if you give him any kind of a hole he will bust through it and get positive yardage. if you have the game DVR'ed then go back and see how many times this year the RB has had to dance around and side step defenders IN THE FREAKING BACKFIELD
JJ isnt going to be confused with Dan Marino, but at least he isnt wearing a skirt like the oline is this year.

You are hanging with the wrong crowd then. I haven't timed our protection but I watch the tape and I know many LSU fans that do this. Call it a hobby or what you will but its healthier than many pursuits and don't see it as needing psych help.
