Rachel Whittaker, Daily Reveille "The No. 1 total defense in the country nearly matched that total Saturday night, overwhelming LSU’s offensive line"
Charles Scott "the pass protection definitely needs improvement.”
James Varney, TP "Jefferson operated in a poorly defined pocket all night, and the combination of mediocre line play"
Les Miles “We should well have had an over-the-top throw or two ... but when we called those, we didn’t have protection.”
Les Miles "“When you call the pass, you’ve got to protect the passer."

honestly, i've never seen a q.b. take a five step drop from the shotgun. do you realize how fast you have to be as an offensive tackle to block that? it's almost like making a pocket for your fricking punter.

Yeah, because we should take Miles' quotes as gospel. Clearly he's great at identifying problems.

Hey, I'll be satisfied with the standard number of seconds to get rid of the ball. Oh, and the time ticked off when Jefferson runs for his life doesn't count in the OL's favor, BTW. Jefferson buys a lot more time himself than the OL gives him.

Then take the player's quotes or the reporters' quotes. Just because you disagree with them doesn't change the fact.

Wow, you can really uncover my hidden agenda of saying the OL is the main offensive problem and not Jordan Jefferson? Man, you should change your username to "Einstein".

So you must know what the problem is better then Miles?

We aren't saying Jefferson is perfect, he needs to improve. But the bigger issue is Oline play, we don't get good pass protection and we have no running game.

JJ holding the ball to long is the main problem.

So far, you really haven't said squat in your posts other than to act like I had an agenda which anyone with one live brain cell could tell from my title. Congrats sir, you indeed are alive.

But I thought this was the best offensive line CLM has had since coming to LSU.

jj could have 10 seconds per attempt,he still wouldn't know what to do.doesn't have it between the ears
i think it's a little early in his career with a bad o line to substantiate this kind of generalization. it looks to me like his biggest need is pocket presence. he'll develop that as he gets more experience and gets sacked a few more times.

False. JJ doesn't even have time to make his first read before having to avoid pressure. By the time he gets to the last step of his drop, he immediately has to make a move to avoid pressure almost every single time.

Not to mention, the fact that Florida only rushed 3 and dropped 8 quite frequently. Our 5 guys struggled against their 3. Not good.

the o line is clearly the main problem. black misses a significant number of one on one blocks, especially on pass plays. that is absolutely not a matter of scheme.

it definitely is a problem but we can't tell how many times he would have the opportunity to get rid of it on time if the o line were pass blocking worth a darn

i don't get it. they definitely should be better than they are. i know there are new faces on the line but it isn't like we're totally green up front. something is going on and i hope it gets resolved in the next two weeks.

it's way to early for all the panic on the rant. too many winnable games left.

Yeah. Let's put J.L. back in since he has a quick enough release to throw it directly into triple coverage before getting sacked.

The solution to getting good pass protection is to replace those who can't pass or run block.ie T-Bob and Dworaczyk. Problem solved. The only two new offensive linemen and the two worst.

Do you realize Coach Miles is planning to give coach Stud (offense line) a raise in pay.
