Stated that a night game at TS is equivalent to an NFL game on Monday night..? I'd say it's better than that. Thoughts?

I don't think there is a better OVERALL atmosphere anywhere in the country, including NFL and CF. Maybe the Superbowl with the Saints, who are a majority of LSU fans anyway.

I was at ground level for the Falcons game when we re-opened the Dome after Katrina. When we blocked that punt for a TD, at the beginning of the game, that was the loudest I have ever heard a crowd at any event.

I watched that on TV and it sounded incredible that way so I can only imagine.

I may be a huge pussy but I let a few tears come out at that point. Everything with the hurricane and first game back in the dome. All the hype. Then you pull that shite? You couldn't have scripted a better opening scene. I thought I was watching a movie.

It's moments like that, that show how sometimes in rare situations, winning football games arent a matter of life and death. They're much more than that.

I've been all around the country to watch College Rivalary games (we pick a new one each year). I've been to the Big House, Neyland, Swamp, Cocktail Party, ND, Rose Bowl, etc...and the ONLY one that came close to LSU on a Sat nite was @ The 'Shoe in '02 when OSU beat MICH and went on to win the NC. It got SERIOUSLY loud when they went up late in the 4th quarter.

Neyland was crazy quiet when they were getting beat by AL, then got pretty loud when they went ahead to win.

I think Death Valley is unique in that the crowd seems loud throughout the entire game (compared to others). Headed to Sanford this year to see AU v GA.

My 2 cents.

Don't get too excited about the game. Buddy of mine went for the LSU game and said the trip was one of the best he's ever taken but that the stadium was easily the biggest dissapointment. He's been to 5 or 6 stadiums in the SEC and said it was easily the worst as far as noise and atmosphere.

Saints vs. Falcons and LSU vs. Tennessee (1st half) after Katrina/Rita....

The blocked punt for td for the Saints and the early turnover and score for the Tigers made me Not to mention when the Golden Band from Tigerland played when the Saints go marching in and spelled out Saints before the Tennessee game.

Superdome

It sucks! There is nowhere to tailgate, the echo is so damn annoying, and you sit 10 miles from the field on all levels!
