This game has an air of 1997 all over it

I can't remember what the spread was for the game in 1997, but I am pretty sure it was at least UF by 7.

They came in #1, and we shutdown their prolific offense for a good portion of the game. They're great defense that year (it was really good actually) was scored on for 3 TDs and our option/QB scrambling/run game helped key the victory with a hard-nosed and talented defense.

I think this game sets up similarly. Underdog at home, lots of talent, and an offense that is waiting to explode.

Here's to hoping for similar results this year.

Thankfully we're better than we were in 1997 and don't have Dinardo anymore

#1 vs. #14

or

#1 vs. #4

I think this one's a little bit more meaningful in the grand scheme of things.

We were 15 point underdogs.

I fixed it for you.
Good Luck, your offense scored 6 on UGA in 3& 1/2 quarters. Spurrier's failure QB made that defense look like swiss cheese.
