Is this guy the best Corner in LSU history? I'm not that old and know we have had some good ones....but I can't remember anyone that could lock a reciever down and and just dominate his side like this guy. We better enjoy him while we have him.

Any Thoughts?

Why was he not covering Green every single play last week?

Until he finishes out strong, Webster has him beat IMHO. I could see PP ending up the best though.

+1

If PP would've been on that last UGA touchdown, AJ wouldn't have caught it. Not to take anything away from Hawkins, it was just a height thing. Hawkins couldn't have covered that pass any better than he did.

I cant agree with this. Although I liked Hookfin....he didnt get a sniff in the NFL if I am correct.

How can you say he is 1A if he never made it at the next level?

I don't understand this either he was the only player on Georgia's team that could beat us. PP should have been on him one on one where he lined up no matter what defense we had called.

If PP continues to play like he has he will go down as one of the all time greats if not the #1 CB.

he covered him almost the entire first half, and did well.. i think he must have just tired a bit.. but i thought it was inexcusable to not have him covering Green on his TD catch..

Best in LSU History? Dude has only started about 8-9 games.... Lets judge him after his career but I would have to say HELL NO at this point.

Peterson is a tremendous talent.

Tommy Casanova is a name relevant to this discussion.

You are right he has only started 8 or 9 games and he shut down the best WR in the SEC maybe even the nation. If he get better the longer he plays this kid will be considered one of the greats!

At this point in his LSU career, Hookfin didn't even warrant a mention in the same sentence with PP. Hookfin was serviceable his junior year and pretty good as a senior, but he was never in Webster's class. As a matter of fact, I'd put Travis Daniels ahead of Hookfin. PP will be better than all of them by his senior(crosses fingers ) year.
