He's horrible guys! And don't give me this "It's because of the Raiders. If he was with another organization he'd be better" B.S. The kid can't hit the side of a barn. That's not the Raiders fault. Poor mechanics, lack of desire, no emotion, etc. And as a longtime Raider's fan, I'm not even looking for him to be great. Give a game where he goes 18-27 for 250yds. and a touchdown or two. No way, kid hasn't even come close to a decent game.

JaWalrus = Great collge QB....Horrible Pro.

It's because of the Raiders. Like it or not that is the truth. So keep on bad mouthing a good QB that is running for his life as soon as the ball touches his hands.

Prepare to be crucified by the rantards. Any time somebody says something negative about the "great" JR, the thread turns into " he was the greatest LSU QB ever"...

Well it's true. You can argue whether he would be good or not... but he'd definitely better if he was in a good organization.

I will go ahead and say that

lack of desire,

it wouldn't be too fun going out there every sunday playing for the worst football organization in the NFL

still young, with a guy like Jamarcus he's not going to blow you away with mechanics and a bunch of yards. He makes plays which is hard to do with that team. I watched about a quarter and saw 4 dropped passes from the raider receivers, and Russell getting hit every single time, he had to make an unbelievable acrobatic play just to throw the ball out of bounds.

Jamarcus decided that he didn't need to work out or study the playbook in the NFL. He is out of shape and his work ethic is poor.

It's not the Raiders fault! I'm a fan, and yes, that orginazation has lots of problems. No doubt. But my thought has always been this...At some point, his god-given ability has got to take over. Well, where is that at? I just don't see it. He looks completely lost out there. He's over throwing receivers, missing wide, etc. It's just awful.

These are Russell’s first four games _ 12-for-30, 208 yards, 1 TD; 7-for-24, 109 yards, 0 TDs; 12-for-21, 61 yards, 0 TDs; 12-for-33-128, 0 TDs. He’s got four interceptions.

Uhhhh! Ok.

Could not believe the decision to draft Heyward-Bey over Crabtree. through 4 games, Bey has 2 catches for 36 yards. If they take Crabtree in that spot, he doesn't hold out this year and Russell has a huge target this year that can put up numbers like Calvin Johnson.

FWIW, Louis Murphy has played well at times, but seriously needs to work on his hands.

Raiders suck, Put Drew Brees on that crappy team and he would not only look like shite he would be in the hospital.

Is JR any good in the pros? We will never know if he continues to play with an offensive line that plays 88 open the gate every single play.

Trade him to KC, in fact KC should lay alot of money to carry him. Bowe and JR back again , KC would have a shot at the superbowl.

Name a QB that the raiders have drafted and developed over the past 20 years.

He has struggled mightly this season. Some of it is his own fault. Most of it is organizational.

Tell me one thing his coaching staff have EVER accomplished outside of the HC breaking an assistant's jaw? Davis didn't even know the New HC's name and background for the most part during his introduction. If they were so stable and a great organization, how did they get the first pick? What have they done since their super bowl waxing? Is that JR's fault?

You have to be fricking stupid to say JR is an embarrassment to LSU.

What have you done to represent lsu?

Tell me, are you actually watching these games or are you just compiling the stats at the end of them. On any given play, Russell has the option to take a sack, throw the ball away, or force the ball into coverage that is way too tight because his WRs can't get any separation. He's had his share of head-scratching plays, but to place the burden of an entire team on a young man in his second season as starting QB is absurd.

Why don't you complain about how the defense can't stop the run, about how they let Houston complete 7 passes over 15 yards, about how McFadden, Bush, and Fargas can't run the ball AT ALL.

The Raiders' problems go way deeper than Russell. If he's going to develop, he needs all those other pieces in place. The same is true for any other young QB.

russell had decent numbers in the last half of last year...

all the sports talking heads are jumping on the 'jamarcus bust' bandwagon - the raiders have a ton of problems.

at one point in the Texans game, mcfadden had eight rushes for -4 yards, or something to that effect... and ferguson was blasted down for a safety by cushing.

blame this on russell too...

bashing russell is too easy... do some hardwork and find another target.

Russell, definitely not an ebarassement to LSU. No way. He's just not a good pro QB. Give him time you say? I don't know. He's been in the league 3yrs. Again, it's not like he even looks close. He looks so far off, it's just scary!
