Sports Illustrated:
"LSU wins again, but won't hang with Florida playing like this"

The Sporting News:
"Florida or Alabama would have had first-stringers relaxing long before either the Tigers or Bulldogs woke up Saturday."

Charles Scott said after the game yesterday that he and the team "played mad" after being dissed all week for being overrated. Still, no respect.

We'll win Saturday and probably get similar comments to what was said after the Tigers beat Georgia in 2003.

They are right. BASED off how the team has played LSU will not win against these two teams. LSU needs to play more complete offense.

Can LSU beat these two teams. Yes they can. But they have to play better than they have.

I agree with both of these statements.

playing like this

Stewart Mandel has this out. LSU must have played better.
Or they played without Tebow and assorted related excused
- UF was distracted
- backup QB did not gel as expected
yada yada

You can live with any excuse as long as you win.

i think those are fair statement...the 1st string statment is a bit overboard...despite being 5-0... there are question marks all over the place for lsu??? the talent is there, but there are too many "what ifs" right now...sure you might correct some of them come saturday night, but all of them? probably not

i don't know why anyone would be suprised by LSU doubters in the media. despite the W's this team a pretty much stunk in each and every performance with the exception of the ULL game. it's going to take beating UF next week to get the national respect and show we deserve our ranking.

If UF loses with Tebow...then they'll say it was the flu.

Typical college FB journalistic schtick-poorly informed as is typical for these people.

I see a very talented but at times unfocused offense. It may be that at times they do not know which toy to bring out and play. An embarrassment of riches, I tell you.

Bama's performance vs. Kentucky yesterday doesn't necessarily back up this statement...

We will just play a notch above the caliber of the opponent like every game this year, and pull it out in the 4th in a nail biter. As long as we win, I don't care at all

We have as good a chance as any team to win. LSU will hang tough with 93,000 people helping them out.

What you're seeing is the entire country is wary of this young team getting better. And we are. A win Saturday night, and it will be LSU, and someone else in the BCS Championship game.

BOOK IT!!!

These comments make me wonder if he even watched the game. They had 1 first down in the first half and we dominated them on offense. If it wasn't for some horrible red zone coaching we would have been up 17-7. All of their yards came on 2 series. We dominated this Georgia team for about 2/3 of the game.

And we won in the last minute...you think we can do that against Florida, with or without Tebow?
