JJ C-
-took way too many sacks
-couldnt convert in the red zone.
-made some clutch passes and runs towards the end of the game.
OL F+
-worst pass protection i can remember for an LSU game.
Crowton D+
-offense looked confused, do they even practice the RS packages during the week?
-questionable play calling and formations

May be hard to block while you are throwing up not sure. Usually I don't play football when I am sick.

JJ B
-Although 3 of the sacks were his fault, he is going through his progressions, not throwing into coverage trying to force plays (except for that 1).
-Executed the option horribly.
-showed good accuracy.
**JJ would have had a monster game if the OL could have given him more time in the pocket.
OL D
-We did better on run blocking although some of this had to do with schem and playcalling in the first half.
-second half we put JJ in to many obvious pass situations. Recievers were open on SOME long routes......OL just didnt give JJ the time to get it there.
Crowton (first half A)
-Went against tendency a bunch. Ran more toward the edges, option to the wide side, more play action, shep faking the handoff wide to TH ect ect. Got a little conservative in the redzone after the pick.

C+, with extra credit for the win.
B in first half (should have been A with TDs, not FGs)
JJ does allow too many sacks, and bad deep ones at that, but he is certainly improving, and I am sure the coaches will get him there. He IS only in his 7th game, right? I think we have forgotten he didn't start last year, and basically played the bowl game.
The Option is HURTING to watch. Why are we torturing him in the option? Just let him run the ball by design. He totally gave up Williams on that one play, and on more than a few occasion it was all he could do to slip between the end to get back to the line of scrimmage.

Charles Scott didn't get those yards by himself. The O-Line did a MUCH better job this game than last, and I see much encouragement in their performance as I think they will continue to improve from here on out.

people keep hating on the o line but they blocked well enough to get us a W, with two starters puking... i agree that the playcalling in the first half was much better than the second, we just couldnt put the ball in the end zone in the first. IMO in the second half when it was a close game LM must have taken over playcalling from Crowton

A+
You see what I did there? It's just a letter and any moron can throw it out.

I see it as just the opposite. LM is a run it down your throat Big 10 kind of guy, but we don't have the mules in the front to do that, not in a clearly designed run formation, and at will. We spread it out and confused their D with runs, and were effective. That's more Crowton than Miles. We don't have the personel this year to run it down people's throats like in years past. We simply have to be more deceptive, and I think you saw that in the second half.

It's hard to be fair after the inconsistent play. The offense looked B+ to A or A- moving the ball in the first half. The interception in the endzone seemed trivial when we were able to continue to move the ball at will. Then the lack of touchdowns caused a concern. The second half, there was virtually no offensive production until the last half of the fourth quarter.
The bottom line is - the offense moves the ball when it has to, and scores when it has to. The playcalling was bad at times and inspired at others.
The pass protection is poor, though I can't give it an F - probably a D. Run blocking was better, but still inconsistent, so I give the OL an overall C or C-.
Jefferson probably gets a B- (and the sacks and a couple of wild throws are all that's keeping him from an A grade - points are not solely his responsibility.)
Crowton - C or C+
WRs - B+ - the WR corps getting a case of the drops in the second half was instrumental in allowing UGA to come back. However, their play overall gets them a decent grade.
RBs - Really, only Scott gets a full grade here - A-. He got 5 yards per carry, and made the only carry that really mattered.
