Dominating Defense

I thought the defense brought their A+ game. Gave up 273 total yards. Three quarters of shut out play. Dominated the first half only allowing 49 yards.
They only started to struggle when our offense couldn't get a first down and the time of possession battle changed in the 2nd half. UGA had a 11:32 to 3:28 advantage in the 3rd quarter. This killed our D.
But, they've proven that they can dominate a game if the offense can keep the time of possession battle respectable. I'm very pleased with how Chavis has the D playing right now.

Every advantage our defense earned in the 1st half, our offense gave away in the 2nd. That's why those stops in the 4th quarter were so huge. Despite the 2 touchdowns.

screw the O. D put it up today. against a really inferior opponent compared to what that D will face next Saturday. but still - they stomped it this afternoon. that first half was close to inspirational.

I'd like to see a better pass rush, but other than that I really like how we're progressing.
Speaking of the rush, Alem was out and out tackled on one 3rd down. I wish he'd come with a counter move back to the inside, he'd be nasty.

Agree 100%. If we could avoid having quarters where the other team has 3x the time of possession as us, we are gonna win a ton of games this year.
