Remember how EVERYBODY got on Ohio st that year for being overrated and playing absolutely NOBODY on the schedule? They had a lot of talent on the team but you got the sense they just werent a dominant top 5 team as their rank would lead you to believe.

Is LSU like that now? Are we suffering media backlash because of what happened to OSU that year? It feels like the media is doesnt want to the same mistake to happen. And now half of our on fanbase is down on this team despite the record.

So LSU 09 = Ohio St 02 in terms of perception and team play?

In '06, they were ranked #1 most of the season; maybe you're thinking of 2002 when OSU seemingly scraped by in a lot of close wins?!

Not sure if it was 2006 or another year, but Ohio St. did come to mind as we go into an era of "win ugly" football. Long as LSU keeps winning, I'm ok with ugly.

OSU pretty much rolled through 2006, ringing up blowouts and beat Texas along the way. 2002 won ugly, but that defense was a lot better looking than LSU's.

Yet, these same sunshine pumpers are the ones that despise Lee now. Hmmm....

This is a horrible comparison. LSU could end up looking more like Florida '06.

We actually blew out our opponents in the first 2 games last year so your comparison sucks. The good thing is that we don't have a QB in there throwing TD's for the other team I still don't believe we lose more than 3 games this year. UGA, Arkansas, Ole Miss, have all looked worse than us and if anything just as bad. I feel like we could win these games although they will probably be close ones.

This is a horrible analogy. LSU has played 4 games so far. We are called overrated b/c we are overrated, we've looked like shite. LSU plays arguably one of the toughest schedules in the country this year and it starts Saturday.

There is no comparison in that respect.
