This could headline Ex Saints This Week thread...

a real bum we traded for is apparently... still a bum.

Seahawks Jim Mora on their kicker Olindo Mare today:

“There’s no excuses for those. If you’re a kicker in the National Football League you should make those kicks – bottom line. End of story. Period. No excuses. No wind, doesn’t matter. You’ve gotta makes those kicks.

The more he spoke the madder he seemed to get.

“Especially in a game like this, where you’re kicking and fighting and scratching your tail off and you miss those kicks, it’s not acceptable. Not acceptable. Absolutely not acceptable.

When asked if he would consider making a change at kicker, Mora said the team will look at making changes everywhere on the team.

“We’re not going to fight our arse off, and have a field goal kicker go out there and miss two field goals and lose a game. It’s not going to happen.”

That's not calling a guy out, that's pushing him in front of a bus.

I'm happy with Carney and Hartley hasn't missed in the regular season as a Saint. I'm hoping the preseason was an anomaly

Really don't have a clue how the front office will fall on this one. Someone else could take Hartley even though he is PS eligible.

Terrance Copper made his first reception as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, coming in Sunday’s 34-14 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Copper, a former standout at Washington High School and East Carolina, earned the start and had one catch for 8 yards. The catch, coming on a 4th-and-7, set up Kansas City’s second touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

The catch by Copper, in his sixth season in the NFL, was his first since the 2007 season when he was member of the New Orleans Saints. His previous reception came in a loss to the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship Game on Dec. 30, 2007.

uh oh, the Titans defense must be in a world of hurt more than I knew...

With the two added roster spots, the Titans signed veteran safety Kevin Kaesviharn and wide receiver Mark Jones.

I thought Kesvashit would get a few laughs

Rams released DT Hollis Thomas.

Thomas couldn't beat out Clifton Ryan to start at nose tackle and made just two tackles off the bench in three games. The 35-year-old may be finished.

that wasnt the NFC championship game, that was the game where Pierre thomas had 100 yards rec/rushing but we still lost. last game of the regular season.

If you have Kaesvashit YOU HAVE THE POOP! Just hope he doesn't see the field. Jos Bullocks and he were two of the biggest causes of the Saints pathetic pass D in the past.

BTW, sad to see 0-3, seriously. Fisher deserves better. Wassup wit dat D??? Is it Schwartz gone or what?

I really think it's a combo of that having Albert for the pass rush. QBs are just getting way too much time for the pass. Our rush D is still pretty damn solid. Chuck Cecil appears to be calling the same type of game we did last year, but I think he is uncapable of making the right calls at the right time like Schwartz could.

Kaesvashit will see plenty of playing time now that CB Finnegan and Fuller are both injured. Mouton, the return fumbler, will probably play CB until Finnegan is back so we will have a rotation of Kaesvashit, McCourty (Rookie) and Nickey playing in Fullers spot.

I'm serious, the dude is a slow white boy getting old fast. There's gotta be better options out there. Colclough? I'd rather an inexperienced rookie FA than that limited, flawed, going downhill choice. The best i can go on him is that he wasn't the worst DB that has been around here the past few years. LOL

Delhomme references Haslett presumably-

Delhomme said he's been on a team (presumably the New Orleans Saints) when a coach no longer was in control of his players, but that that's "not even remotely close" to being the case now.

Wasn't Jake here with Ditka as a rookie? I know Ole Mike had lost that team.
