I say, enough already with these sorts of threads.
Look, people fussed all last season about Malveto. And they were ticked that Miles didn't publicly point fingers. But, in the end, he took decisive action to fix it, didn't he? Do you really think he didn't see the problem all along? And, if I recall, there have been moments this season when Miles has called the offense out, saying they've underperformed. He's said plainly that he's unhappy with the running game. Don't you think that communicates something to the players?
What do you want him to do? Give the entire coaching staff and all the players an angry verbal dress down every press conference? Come on...
I think the way Miles handles adversity, mistakes, poor performance, etc. says a lot of healthy things about his character and leadership style. And NONE of you are privy to what's said (or shouted) at practices and team meetings. It seems to me that the guy's plenty hard-nosed enough to let his players and staff know in no uncertain terms that he expects more from them. He just doesn't use the broadcast media to do it.
I, for one, am still glad Miles is here. And I'm glad he doesn't bow to the whim of every fickle, whiny, angry LSU fanboy who has nothing better to do than complain.
