Giveaways: 3 (1 Int.)
Takeaways: 6 (4 Ints.)

2008:

Giveaways: 20 (18 Ints.)
Takeaways: 19 (8 Ints.)

Jefferson has 5 TDs and 1 Int. I like that ratio.

If he can get out of Athens with mainataining a 10:2/5:1 ratio, I shall be impressed.

In all honesty, if we keep that ratio and he never throws for over 200 yards, we'll easily go 9-3.

Doesn't need to.

Well here's another stat then: in games Jefferson doesn't throw for 200 yards LSU is 3-0

I like that ratio, but I really, really like the 6 takeaways we have already. This defense has some ball hawks. They are definitely a bend but don't break defense, and their turnovers are at perfect times. 4 ints and they are not even throwing at PP.

19 takeaways in 2008 was/is just pitiful. That defense sucked and those 20 giveaways made it worse.

Right. OSU won the National Championship in 2002 with a QB much worse than Jefferson. They just didn't turn the ball over.

It is such a ridiculously important statistic.

So the pace is 1:2 instead of 1:1 overall, basically

the INTS is 1:4 instead of 2.25:1, then again SEC play begins again this weekend, we'll see. last season taught me to be cautiously optomistic

Jefferson played like shite saturday and ULL dropped atleast 3 int's. 2 of them shouldve been pick sixes. Florida/Georia/Ole Miss etc. wont drop these.

I agree. But if I had a choice of one statistic at the beginning of the season, it would be a 2:1 turnover ratio.

How am I ignoring reality?

In reality, we currently have a 2:1 turnover ratio.

I've seen you in about 10 other posts saying Jefferson played "like shite" and how you'd rather Lee play. Clearly you have no idea what playing like shite is. Throwing 2 td's with 1 int is not playing like shite. Yea, ULL missed 2 int's they should have gotten, but the interception he did throw could have easily not been one.

What do you not get about having a game manager at QB? Lee single handedly lost games for us last year. So do everyone a favor and shut up. 16/25 for 2 td's and 1 int is not shite. We won the game 31-3 so shut up.
