Does anyone remember when we were down 20 to 0 at Florida last year ? At that we point we ran the same play that Florida does, in the shotgun sent Trindon in motion and back into the backfield and handed the ball off to him. We did this twice and Holiday had 26 total yards on those two plays. I haven't seen us run that play since and am very curious as to why. With the lineman in a half stance there taller than Trindon then with their hand in the ground and its tough to pick him up. We ran sort of a version of it on our 1st possession of the second half, and Trindon was a shoe string tackle away from breaking it. Just would like to see mor of it.

Also Does Jai Eugene ever stay on his feet when the play goes to his side, does anyone else notice this ? Against Georgia and AJ Green's long TD Run, Against Wash on the long bomb down the sideline, against Florida in the open field against percy before the ball even got there. I mean thats just off the top of my head, im sure there is plenty more. What the hell is up with that ?

Can someone grab Alem by the face mask and tell him to stop being a damn POS. The trash talking, celebrations he does really is not called for. Play with emotion yes but football is about harnessing that energy and emotion and making a football play.

All you hear about from football experts, is that with a young QB, a TE is a QB's best friend. 3 catches in two games is not enough IMO. I know we played very vanilla in these games but we need him to beat UGA on the road.

5 Wides, this is not a video game Crowton. Our best formation, 3 Wides with a tight end and a Back.

Did we sign Rueben Randle for his superior blocking ability ?

its no worse than Chris Hawkins getting blocked for 25 seconds straight by any WR that comes near him

I noticed Morris Claiborne came in for Peterson late in the 4th quarter against Vandy. He only got a few reps, but looked very physical on a tackle. With his height (6' - 6'1") and speed Morris should make a great corner.

He deserves a shot at least!!!

I agree. Hawkins is not good enough of a coverage man to justify his lack of run support. I'd rather see Jai. At least he can shed a block and is a serviceable tackler.

shite, I'm on his bandwagon. Florida in consecutive years started a true freshman at CB, I believe that Mo Claiborne has potentially to be a great Corner, and with him and PP, the run defense to the outside would be STOUT

I am hoping Claiborne gets some time during the next two games, so maybe just maybe he can get some good playing time against Georgia.

If he is good our defense can improve leaps and bounds. Two good corners equal tons of pressure on the QB!!!

I am telling you guys the kid is a phenominal athlete with good ball skills

Claiborne and some of the young LBs and DL need to see a lot of action these next two weeks. Ryan Baker or someone on this roster has got to be better than Riley and Sheppard.

I'd like to see Trindon run it more, as well as catch a screen pass out of the backfield once in a while, and be the pitch man on the option sometimes too.

I completely agree with you about Dickson. That would be a good way to get Jefferson confident in the passing game and get into a nice rhythm. Its like a good shooter in basketball getting an easy bucket to get him going.

I completely disagree with you about Alem. He plays with an enormous amount of effort. And he is playing at a high level right now. I like emotional football players, but thats just me.

Well, I won't go so far as calling one of our players a "POS," but your point is well taken. For some reason, Alem worries the shite out of me, and I've stated this numerous times to my IRL friends and family....I'm concerned he's going to let his emotions get the better of him in a critical moment of a BIG game (i.e., UGA, FLA, BAMA) when there is a lot on the line and it's going to cost us. There is just some gut feeling I have about him that prevents me from having the faith in him that I had in many of the previous DL who were at LSU. I hope I'm wrong, and if I'm not, I hope somebody kicks the shite out of him and adjusts his attitude. Let the flames begin, but he makes me uneasy. I hope to God to eat crow on this at the end of the season, I will do so gladly.

They are going to give the NFL guys "lafell and Scott most of the touches to reward them for years of service. Thats not the right play but it is the politics of football. Scott is going to continue to get jammed up because he has no blocking and Lafell is going to get finger tackled behind the line or drop the ball. There stock is dropping faster than ENRONS! Make some damn plays run through tackles!

Then In my opinion that's the difference between coaches like saban meyer Carroll stoops.

Carroll starting a tru freshman at qb.

Saban won a national championship with a freshman rb and fs

meyer has started a freshman corner back in 3 consecutive years as well as a freshman FS

guys like Randle and Shep need to play

My 10 year old told me we should line trindon up on the line and rush in to block extra points and field goals. At first I laughed, but then I got to thinking, hey, try it, what would it hurt?? Fixing to try it on Ncaa2010 lol..

I saw a play against Vandy where the RB fell down As soon as he got the handoff and Alem and another player ran over and touched him. Alem shot up patting his chest like "Me! Me! Me!" to get credit for the TFL. Pissed me off. How about just playing for the team and not individual stats.

+1
I'm surprised by this too. I thought Dickson would be the man this year.
