for improving our scoring defense. There is still room for improvement in the total yards category and I think that will come.

If our total yards is bad but we hold teams to 7 I will be very happy

Do you really think it's a reasonable goal to want to hold SEC opponents to under 210 yards per game?

Our D played well . Pursuit was good, pressure on QB was good just missed tackles.

The D will get better !!! IMO

I don't care about stats, just the scoreboard.

From what I have seen the last four years in Knoxville, Chavis defenses may not have the glamour of Saban's squads with regards to knockout hits etc. but at the end of the day they get the job done. You end up looking at the other team's stats and scoring and think "Damn, we played better than I thought we did." I think things will continue to get better as the season progresses and the players learn the new system and adjust to the new coaches.

good point...I remember the SEC championship when it seemed like Perriloux was having all kinds of success and then I looked up at the score board and we only had 14 points late into the 4th quarter.

Let's hope you're right about this, 'cause there is still work to do.
